Golden Notes
Golden notes come fluttering down,
To tell me fall is near.
Dancing reds and racing browns,
A crickle, crackle, crunch, I hear.
I stomp, I jump, I dive in piles,
I throw leaves in the air.
I'm dressed in leaves, from shoes to shirt,
With leaf crowns in my hair.
Walking in my leaf suit, I scare a nearby squirrel.
He scampers up the next door tree,
While leaves float down in swirls.
I give myself a good hard shake,
As leaves bounce off of me.
Tickling my nose, my arms and head.
I feel just like the tree.
