I Spy Shapes

Circles are round.
Donuts are too.
Pennies are circles.
And bagels have two.
The sun and the moon circle around and around.
While wheels are the circles that roll around town.

I can spy squares with four sides all the same.
Like a present, a picture or your favorite board game.
A book can be square.
So can crackers and cheese.
Don't forget my square napkin to clean me up, please.

I can spy rectangles that have sides of four.
But two sides are different.
Two sides have more.
Like post cards and posters,
And windows and doors.
Greeting cards, candy bars,
Do you know some more?

I can spy triangles with three tiny points.
Three sides connect to each of their joints.
The yield sign, the roof, or a slice of peach pie,
Are examples of triangles and you can see why.

I can spy shapes inside and out.
Circles and squares are seen all about.
Don't forget rectangles and triangles, too.
If you look carefully, they're all in plain view.
