GETTING DRESSED · GROWING UP
Ole' Navy Blue
I had a little coat,
That was warm as warm could be.
But now I think, it's shrinking,
It's much too small for me.
My arms hang out below the cuffs.
The shoulders are too tight.
It's much too hard to fasten it.
The zipper and I fight.
So now I need a new one.
Oh, gee, what shall I do?
There are so many choices.
But I'll miss Ole' Navy Blue.
Should I buy the wool one,
The rayon or the down?
To every store, we've trudged around,
We've looked all over town.
I finally find the one I want.
The size fits me just right.
It looks just like Ole' Navy Blue.
Except it's not so tight.
