COASTAL ยท BEDTIME
Rock-A-Bye Waves
๐ต LISTEN
Play the song above โ the words light up as they are sung.
Up in the morning I walk on the beach.
The crashing waves keep me quick on my feet.
Dashing this way, and that way, far from the foam.
I keep close to the shoreline, to skip and to roam.
Holding my bag, while collecting my shells,
I plunk them right in there, clinking like bells.
Giant ones, tiny ones, flat ones and smooth.
I must have that twisted one, it's too good to lose.
Then back to build sandcastles that reach to the sky,
As sweep-a-bye waves, sweep all, as I cry.
No matter, it's noon, and mom calls me for lunch.
To eat hot dogs, pickles and a tall glass of punch.
My eyes are so heavy, they're beginning to close.
Mom declares nap time she does seem to know.
But I'm not tired and put up a fight.
As I lay by my window, Mom tucks me in tight.
The breeze blows in gently. The willow tree weeps.
And the rock-a-bye waves send me quietly to sleep.
