Squirrel Raid

I was sitting at the table,
As quiet as could be.
When from a towering oak tree,
Some acorns fell on me.

One dented my cheese sandwich.
The other splashed my punch.
Two others broke my crackers,
Then squirrels grabbed my lunch.

I chased them from the table.
And watched them climb the tree.
Those squirrels sat and munched my lunch,
While acorns plopped on me!
