Strawberry Sunday

Strawberries red, strawberries juicy,
Put them in the basket says old Aunt Lucy.

Pick them plump and pick them sweet!
Pop them in your mouth for a sugary treat.

Streams of juices running to your feet,
Feeling all sticky in the summery heat.

Fill the basket till it overflows,
Strolling on down those strawberry rows.

Then take them home for pies and cakes.
Put them in the oven and smell them bake.

Let them cool, then take a bite,
Strawberry Sunday is a taste delight!
