Diane Ambur has spent more than fifty years in classrooms — teaching, listening, and watching children discover the magic of language. She studied at New York University and Oxford, England.

She lives on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where the marsh grass, the herons, and the long tidal light keep surprising her with new poems.

She believes every child deserves a pocket full of poems to carry wherever they go.
